CLSH Home School Graduation Requirements To earn a diploma from Crean Lutheran South High School a student must have completed 27 units within 10 subject areas, which are aligned with the University of California’s and the Cal State system’s A-G entrance requirements. These units may be accumulated through accredited on-ground, online, or home school curricula. Of the 27 units required for graduation, eight (8) must be earned in residency at Crean Lutheran South High School through a minimum of the equivalent of two (2) on-ground classes per year, one of which must be Theology. Students / families may choose the other course to be taken in residency based on need or passion (e.g. athletics, performing arts, elective opportunity, etc.).
Transfer students would also be required to satisfy the 8-course residency requirement over the remaining number of semesters prior to graduation. In the case of a transfer student, the on-ground Theology course requirement reverts to the number of remaining Theology courses required for graduation (e.g. Sophomore transfer – 3 years). To satisfy the 8-course residency requirement, however, a transfer student must select and complete other on-ground coursework in an accelerated manner in order to complete the requisite number of on-ground courses to meet the residency requirement.
A complete listing of the CLSH subject area requirements for graduation is available by clicking on the above “CLSH Graduation Requirements” link.
