“In the beginning…” This is one of my favorite passages in all of scripture. The passage not only reminds me there is a God, but that God had a plan for the earth, and has a plan for me. If you would have asked me two years ago where would I be, Crean Lutheran South would not have been my first answer. But, I have been truly blessed to be called to serve here. As I write this, over a year has gone by since I was first hired. So much has changed during that year. I have seen us go from no building, to the facilities we are in. I have seen rooms that are empty, not even computer wires pulled, to having wires run, tables and chairs and whiteboards put in the classes. I have seen empty hallways and counting down the days (100 days until the start of school was a big milestone) to seeing the hallways filled with students and (again at the time of this writing) only 113 days left until summer break. God HAS a plan and I am excited to be part of that plan. A quick bit about my background, I went to college at Christ College in Irvine (now Concordia University Irvine) and graduated with dual degrees: Computer Science/Math and Church Management. I completed my Director of Christian Education certificate the year after graduating. While completing my DCE certificate I got married to my wife Kim. We now have two great kids: KC who is a freshman at CLSHS and David who is in middle school. I finished my MBA back in 2005. Even though this is my first experience in high school education (OK, second experience, I am a high school graduate), I have worked or taught at the college/university level for nine years. I am happy and honored to work at CLSHS as the Director of IT, Registrar and any other hat they give me to wear. I enjoy spending time with the students, both in and out of the classroom.
